BRONZE GOOD CITIZEN AWARD

The Bronze Good Citizen Award is designed to achieve a well-behaved dog that is under control when on or off the lead. A dog of any age can take part in the Bronze Award and you do not have to have completed the Puppy Foundation Course.  Their handlers will also be given basic knowledge of understanding and training their dogs.   

 

The Bronze Good Citizen Award includes: - 

  • Cleanliness and Identification – the correct collar and identification tag as well as means of cleaning up after the dog 

  • Collar, Lead and Equipment – ensuring all equipment used are suitable and in good condition 

  • Walk on Lead  

  • Control at Door/Gate 

  • Controlled Walk through People and Dogs  

  • Stay in position for one minute 

  • Grooming 

  • Examination of the Dog – to be undertaken by the handler 

  • Return to Handler 

  • Responsibility and Care
